Handi Quilter is a leading designer and manufacturer of high-quality yet compact quilting and sewing machines. Two years ago, they were experiencing frustrating supply issues with their primary friction hinge supplier. These hinges are utilized in Handi Quilter’s Pro-Stitcher® machines, which are widely used in commercial manufacturing facilities, celebrated for their ability to increase product output and efficiency.

Handi Quilter approached TorqMaster with their pressing challenge, and provided samples of the hinges they were using. Besides meeting technical requirements, a key part of their mission was to find a “drop-in” replacement – one that could be used immediately, avoiding any product redesign or costly retooling.

Upon reviewing the sample hinges, it was determined that TorqMaster’s ZE-375 series would meet their requirements. Samples were provided to Handi Quilter, and were quickly found by them to be an excellent replacement.
